Viewing your child's YouTube history

See which YouTube videos and channels your child watched, right from the SafeKids360 parental control app.

Updated: 2026-06-06

SafeKids360 records the YouTube videos your child watches and shows them in the parent app. You see the video title, and in most cases the channel name, so you can keep up with what they are into without looking over their shoulder.

Open the SafeKids360 parent app, tap History, then the YouTube tab to read recent video titles and channels

Open the History screen

  1. Open the SafeKids360 parent app.
  2. Tap your child's profile.
  3. Tap History.

Switch to the YouTube tab

  1. At the top of the History screen, tap the YouTube tab.
  2. Recent videos load with the newest at the top.
  3. Each row shows the video title, the channel when it is available, and the time it was watched.

Read a row

Tap a row to see the full title if it was cut off. Use the day picker to step back to earlier days and review a pattern of viewing over the week.

A note on Shorts

YouTube Shorts are a known blind spot. The Shorts player does not expose a readable title to the phone, so sessions where your child only swiped through Shorts may show up empty. Regular videos are captured reliably. Newer versions of the YouTube app can also hide some titles, so occasional gaps are normal rather than a sign that monitoring stopped.

Keep it accurate

YouTube history is gathered through the Accessibility Service on the child's phone. If the tab looks empty for a long stretch, confirm AlvaKids still has its permissions and is not being killed in the background. The autostart guides for your child's phone brand cover this.

YouTube history is a premium feature. With a free plan the tab shows a preview with a subscribe prompt instead of the list.
